WINGS Educational Foundation

Mission

The WINGS Educational Foundation (Washington's Investment in Great Schools) is a not-for-profit corporation established April 14, 1992, to encourage and develop today's children. The WINGS Educational Foundation strives to open new doors of opportunity for students by providing the necessary funds to support programs which are not or cannot be funded by the Washington School District.

The WINGS Educational Foundation promotes educational excellence by providing:

• Teachers Grants
• Student Scholarships for Continued Education
• State-of-the-Art Equipment
• Recognition of Outstanding Faculty and Staff Achievement

The WINGS Educational Foundation solicits and manages investments and distributes funds to enhance the excellence of public education in the School District of Washington.

Goals

• Increase grants to educators for innovative projects.
• Establish a $300,000 Endowment Fund.
• Provide college scholarships for District students pursuing careers in education.
• Upgrade computer software where needed.
• Recognize teachers and support staff for outstanding contributions to educational excellence.
